During this appointment, the dentist will assess your concerns, conduct an examination which may include taking x-rays and will advise you on the possible causes and diagnosis. Dental pain usually requires treatment to resolve it such as root canal treatment , a filling , gum treatment , or extraction . In some cases, antimicrobials are required first, advice will be given by the dentist.
